Update: October 2, 2020
On October 1, 2020, Cordaro Wallace, a 32-year-old black male, was arrested for the murder of Billy Seals that occurred on September 24, 2020. Wallace was taken to Dallas Police Headquarters and interviewed by a detective with the Homicide Unit. He was subsequently transported to Lew Sterrett Jail and charged with murder, a felony of the first degree. His bond will be set by a Dallas County Magistrate.

On September 24, 2020, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call at North Central Service Road at Hall Street. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, Billy Seals, a 35-year-old black male, who was found in the driver’s seat of a white SUV that had crashed into a retaining wall. The victim appeared to have suffered from a gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased at the scene by Dallas Fire and Rescue. Witnesses reported that the suspect was a black male and fled in an unknown type vehicle.
