On September 25, 2020, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call at the 2700 block of Elsie Faye Heggins after witnesses heard multiple gunshots from inside a residence, followed by an unknown Black male fleeing the location. Officers arrived and located the victim, Rayford Mack, a 44-year-old Black male, inside the residence with a gunshot wound. Dallas Fire and Rescue arrived and pronounced the victim deceased. It is believed the suspect took the victim’s brown 1981 Buick Regal as he fled the location.
