On Saturday, October 31, 2020, at approximately 5:31 a.m., patrol elements responded to a shooting call at 1510 E. Missouri Avenue.  Upon arrival, officers were informed that the victim, Josefina Sierra, a 36-yr old Latin female had been shot at the location by the suspect, Jose Arellano, a 50-yr old Latin male who is her husband. The complainant was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

The suspect was transported to the Homicide Unit, where he voluntarily waived his rights and admitted to this offense. After the interview, he was transported to the Dallas County Jail and charged with murder. Detectives have made the next of kin notification.
