On November 15, 2020, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Dallas police officers responded to a shooting call in the 2800 block of Kirven Drive. Witnesses stated that three Black males approached the victim, Raul Carrillo Resendiz, a 49-year-old male, and a young Black male with short dreadlocks shot him. The suspects then fled the location in a small four-door sedan, possibly a Honda Civic, with black rims. The victim’s daughter, Diana Resendiz, a 30-year-old Latin female, pursued the suspects in her vehicle. She was later found in her vehicle in the 9100 block of Jennie Lee Lane with a gunshot wound. Dallas Fire and Rescue transported Raul Carrillo Resendiz to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. Diana Resendiz was pronounced deceased at the scene.
