Homicide Investigation on Moulin Rouge

On December 13, 2020, at approximately 2:26 P.M., Dallas Police were dispatched to 1250 Moulin Rouge Drive regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, officers observed the complainant, Christopher Ramirez Veloz, a 20-year old Latin male, shot multiple times laying on the ground. Dallas Fire-Rescue 26 responded and transported the complainant to an area hospital where the complainant was pronounced deceased.

On December 13, 2020, at approximately 2:41 P.M., Dallas Police were dispatched to the Ridgecrest Apartments located at 418 S. Walton Walker in regards to a shooting call. Upon arrival, officers observed the complainant, Daniel Victor Barrera, Jr., a 21-year old Latin male, shot and laying on the ground. Dallas Fire-Rescue 50 responded and transported the complainant to an area hospital where the complainant was pronounced deceased.

Through their investigation, Homicide Detectives determined that suspect Bryan Bernal Rivas, a 17-year old Latin male, was responsible for killing victim Barrera.  Suspect Rivas was arrested for murder, and officers transported him to the Dallas County Jail. A Dallas County magistrate will set his bond amount.   These shootings are related and this is still an ongoing investigation.
