Arrest Made: Homicide Investigation at 1600 block of Caldwell Avenue

On February 24, 2021, the Dallas Police department arrested Frederick Daniels, a 27-year-old black male, for the murder of Taboric Lee that occurred at the 1600 block of Caldwell Avenue on December 14, 2020. His accomplice, Edward Sims, a 35-year-old black male, was previously arrested for the murder on February 8, 2021. Daniels was transported to the Lew Sterrett Jail and charged with murder, a felony of the first degree. His bond will be set by a Dallas County Magistrate.

Through the course of the investigation, the Dallas Police Homicide Unit identified Frederick Daniels, a 26-year-old black male, as a suspect in the murder of Taboric Lee on December 14, 2020, at the 1600 block of Caldwell Ave. Dallas Police are asking that anyone with information regarding the location of Frederick Daniels contact 911. On December 14, 2020, at approximately 3:15 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call at the 1600 block of Caldwell Avenue. Upon arrival, they observed the victim, Taboric Lee, a 32-year-old black mal, with a gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital by Dallas Fire and Rescue, where he was later pronounced deceased. Witnesses observed at least one young black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt flee the location on foot after the shooting.
