Dallas PD Brings Holiday Cheer to Children’s Medical Center

Members of the command staff and Tactical Support Division could not do their annual visit to Children’s Hospital due to the pandemic. However, they decided to surprise the kids with a parade outside the hospital. The kids were able to view the parade from their windows or a viewing room where it was streamed live. Participating in the parade were officers on their motorcycles, officers from the Mounted Unit on horses, along with SWAT officers driving their Armored Personal Carriers and marked squad cars. In addition, there were our superhero crime-fighting partners on the scene to assist with bringing joy to the young patients at the hospital. Santa was also on hand to deliver over 80 presents that were donated from sponsors who support the Santa Cops Program. Although the weather was gloomy outside, a delightful glow was illuminated from inside of Children’s Medical Center thanks to the men, women, and friends of the Dallas Police Department. We also want to extend our gratitude to the administrative and medical staff at Children’s Medical Center for their dedicated service and for allowing us to bring a little joy to the hospital.
