Homicide at 3200 S. Lancaster Road

On January 20, 2021, Rapheal Jefferson, a 33-year-old black male, was arrested for the murder of Kendrick Hampton that occurred at 3200 S Lancaster Road on January 5, 2021. Jefferson was taken to the Dallas Police Headquarters and declined to speak with a detective. He was subsequently transported to Lew Sterrett Jail. His bond will be determined by a Dallas County Magistrate.

On January 5, 2021, at approximately 7:00 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call at 3200 S Lancaster Road. Witnesses stated that an unknown black male shot the victim, Kendrick Hampton, a 29-year-old black male, as he sat in the driver seat of his vehicle, and then fled the location. An associate of the victim drove him to a secondary location, where he was transported to an area hospital by Dallas Fire and Rescue and later pronounced deceased.
