Homicide Investigation at 2900 E. Ledbetter Drive

Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that the suspect fled the location in a black sedan, believed to be a Nissan Altima, towards the Joppa neighborhood. On January 27, 2021, at approximately 1:30 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call at 2900 E Ledbetter Drive. Upon arrival, the victim, Kermit Carradine, a 41-year-old black male, was found in the passenger seat of a vehicle with a gunshot wound. Witnesses stated that an unknown suspect driving a black Nissan sedan shot at the victim nearby and then fled. The victim was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced deceased on January 29, 2021.
