On Monday, February 8, 2021, at approximately 12:30 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting call at 2316 S Denley Drive. Upon arrival, the officers found an unknown black male complainant, shot at the location. The complainant was transported to an area hospital by Dallas Fire-Rescue. A Non-Fatal Shoot Team Detective responded and began an investigation for an aggravated assault.
On Tuesday, February 9, 2021, the complainant died from his injuries, and the case was reassigned to the Homicide Unit. The investigation is ongoing, and the motive is unknown at this time.
