On February 8, 2021, Edward Sims, a 35-year-old black male, was arrested for the murder of Taboric Lee that occurred at the 1600 block of Caldwell Avenue on December 14, 2020. Sims was taken to the Dallas Police Headquarters and interviewed by a detective with the Homicide Unit. He was subsequently transported to Lew Sterrett Jail and charged with murder, a felony of the first degree. His bond will be set by a Dallas County Magistrate.
Through the course of the investigation, Fredrick Daniels, a 26-year-old black male, was also identified as a suspect in this offense and is currently at-large and wanted for murder.
