On February 11, 2021, at approximately 11:50 p.m., officers responded to a shooting call at 1525 Iowa Avenue. The victim, Jason Lakeith Williams, a 55-year old Black male, was found lying on the street with a gunshot wound. Dallas Fire Rescue responded and transported the victim to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The investigation is ongoing, and the motive is still unknown at this time.
