On Sunday, February 26, 2021, at approximately 5:03 a.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting call at the Budget Inn located at 12425 E. Northwest Hwy.  Dallas Fire-Rescue transported the victim Byron Donnell Ross, a  38-year old black male, to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.  This is an active investigation with no one in custody.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Montenegro at 214-283-4801 or via email:  e.montenegro@dallascityhall.com.  Please refer to case number 034311-2021.
