Dallas Police Kicks Off Pride Month With Pride Flag Raising

On June 1, 2021, the Dallas Police Department kicked off Pride Month with the raising of the Pride Flag at Jack Evans Police Headquarters.  The Pride Flag will fly over police headquarters for the entire month of June.  There was a ceremony held at police headquarters at which Dallas Police Chief Eddie Garcia, Mayor Pro Tem Adam Medrano, and Kirk Myers had words to commemorate this occasion. 

Dallas Police LGBTQ+ Liaison Officer Chelsea Geist was also in attendance and expressed, “It’s huge for the City of Dallas, our LGBTQ+ officers and employees to feel represented and supported while serving all communities of Dallas.”
