Update 6/19/2021 at 6:50 PM:
Through their investigation, Homicide Detectives determined that suspect William Adolph Sandoval, a 22-year-old Latin male, was responsible for killing the victim. On Tuesday, June 18, 2021, Suspect Sandoval was arrested and transported to the Homicide Unit where detectives interviewed him. The suspect was then transported to the Dallas County Jail where he was charged with murder. A Dallas County magistrate will set his bond amount.

On Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Dallas police responded to a call at 522 Griffith Avenue. Upon arrival, the officers found the victim, Ashley Leann Uresti, age 32, unresponsive at the location with blunt force trauma. The victim was transported to an area hospital by Dallas Fire-Rescue.
On Tuesday, June 15, 2021, the victim died from the injuries, and the case was reassigned to the Homicide Unit. The investigation is ongoing, and the motive is unknown at this time.
