Homicide at 4100 Fortune Lane

Update July 11, 2021, at 4:45 p.m.:

On July 11, 2021, the suspect in this Murder, Andre Stefan Buggs, turned himself into Dallas Police. Suspect Buggs was transported to the Homicide Unit, where detectives interviewed him. The suspect invoked his right to an attorney, and he was transported to the Dallas County Jail where he was charged with murder. A Dallas County magistrate will set his bond amount. 

Updated July 10, 2021, at 1:57 p.m.:

Andre Stefan Buggs has been identified as the suspect for the murder of Anita Daniels Thompson that occurred on July 6, 2021. The suspect, pictured below, is wanted for the murder and is described as a 58-year-old Black male, 6’3″ tall, and weighs approximately 218 pounds. He is considered armed and dangerous.

On July 6, 2021, at approximately 6:35 p.m., Dallas police responded to a call regarding a deceased person at 4108 Fortune Lane.  Upon arrival, police determined the victim, Anita Daniels Thompson, an 87-year-old Black female, died from homicidal violence. Dallas Fire and Rescue responded and pronounced the victim deceased.
