On July 10, 2021, at approximately 8:39 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 10000 block of China Tree Drive. Upon arrival, they discovered two victims; a 22-year-old Black male who was transported to an area hospital in serious condition and a 45-year-old Black male who was deceased inside a vehicle. Through the course of the investigation and video surveillance evidence, it was determined that Kendel Britton a 45-year-old Black male, and Dezmin Britton, a 19-year-old Black male were involved in the shooting of both victims. They were both transported to the Dallas County Jail, where they were charged with murder. A magistrate will set their bond. The identity of the victim will be released once the next of kin has been notified.
