July & August Officers of the Month

Today, Sergeant Robert Toatley received the July Officer of the Month award, and a luncheon was held in his honor by the Dallas Community Police Awards Committee.

Since his promotion, Sergeant Toatley has been assigned to the Gang Unit and Narcotics Division. He was nominated for Officer of Month by Lieutenant Charles Ned. Sergeant Toatley is a respected member of the department and also volunteers at his church. He helps provide transportation to the homeless to attend church services.

“Sergeant Toatley is a great leader who is respected by other officers and the command staff,” said Lieutenant Ned.

Congratulations to Sergeant Toatley for receiving the July Officer of the Month award!

Also honored today was Sergeant Dasha Williams. Sergeant Williams is currently assigned to the Internal Affairs Division and was nominated by Lieutenant Phyllis Nobels.

Sergeant Williams oversees the day-to-day investigative process for three detectives, who are assigned under her supervision. In her spare time, she is also devoted to improving the quality of life for at-risk students. Every school year, Sergeant Williams monitors a local student in the Dallas area by providing school supplies and emotional support. She also volunteers for other community events.

Lieutenant Nobles noted, “Sergeant Williams has a tender heart and she looks forward to assisting the community when she determines there is a need. She is about community support and making a difference.”

Congratulations also to Sergeant Williams for being awarded the Officer of the Month for the month of August.

Job well done to these two outstanding supervisors!
