Shooting on S. Polk

 

On Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at approximately 2:40 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting call at 8000 S. Polk Street near the intersection of W. Wheatland Road. Upon their arrival, they discovered that an innocent Black female bystander had been shot inside her vehicle as she waited at a red light. She was transported to an area hospital in critical condition. During the course of the investigation, detectives determined that the shooting involved two Black males who exited a Silver Toyota minivan with Texas license plate number NKV-5942. Detectives are seeking their identities and the identity of a person of interest who was seen wearing a black shirt, black pants, with white shoes. She left the area in a Red Chevrolet Cruze.
