On Friday, September 3, 2021, at approximately 7:18 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting call at the Speedy Cornerstore, located at 1951 Singleton Blvd.  Upon arrival, officers observed the victim Simmion Diya Dillard, a 41-year old black male, lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to his abdomen area.  Dallas Fire-Rescue transported the victim to a local hospital, where he died from his injury.
