On Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at approximately 10:20 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting call at the Grand Estates at Kessler Park Apartments, located at 1520 N. Beckley Avenue.  The victim, Roberto Escamilla Santoyo, a 26-year old Latin male, was found lying on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound after being shot during a robbery of an individual.  Dallas Fire-Rescue transported the victim and an adult male to an area hospital.  The victim died at the hospital from his injuries, and the adult male was treated for his injuries.

There are currently no suspects identified or apprehended.  This is an ongoing investigation, and the Dallas Police Department’s Homicide Unit is urging anyone with information to contact Detective Boz Rojas at 214-681-1786 or boz.rojas@dallascityhall.com.  Please refer to case #171885-2021.
