Today, we paid final respects to one of our fallen heroes, Senior Corporal Arnulfo Pargas, #8001. Senior Corporal Pargas, a 20 year veteran with the Dallas Police Department, represented the best in all of us. He was an encouraging, selfless, caring, professional who was respected and admired by many. Pargas treated others with dignity and kindness regardless of their demeanor or actions. He was a public servant who devoted every ounce of energy to his profession and community. Pargas leaves behind a legacy of true community policing that we can all learn from. We have lost not only a great officer but a brother, and the most positive example of what we should all aspire to be. We thank his family for sharing a wonderful man with the Dallas Police Department and Dallas Community.
