On September 29, 2021, at approximately 11:45 a.m., the Love Field Interdiction Squad arrested Troy Lynn Thomas, Jr, a 33-year-old male, after arriving from Los Angeles with a suitcase filled with approximately 6.5 pounds of marijuana. Not only could officers smell the illegal narcotics emitting from the suitcase, but Canine Ballentine’s well-trained nose did as well. Canine Baellentine positively alerted to the suitcase and officers were able to seize the illegal narcotics. This is a great example that shows how committed the Love Field Interdiction Squad Officers and Canine Ballentine are to keeping illegal drugs off the streets.
