On Saturday, October 16, 2021, at about 3:40 pm, the second Victim, Ruby Gonzalez, an 18-year-old Latin female, succumbed to her injuries and was declared deceased.
The suspect (s) responsible for this offense used fake money in an attempt to purchase the firearm Complainant Garcia was selling. The suspect(s) then fled separately in a small black vehicle and a gray SUV. One of the suspects was captured on video leaving in Complainant Juan Garcia’s tan Chevrolet Silverado, which has since been recovered.

On Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at approximately 9:04 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call outside the Party City store, located at 4400 Dallas Fort Worth Turnpike. Officers found the victim Juan Carlos Sierra-Garcia, Jr., a 19-year old Latin male and a female witness, lying on the ground in the parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds. Dallas Fire-Rescue transported them to an area hospital, where the victim died from his injuries, and the female witness remains in critical condition.
