On Thursday, December 2, 2021, at approximately 2:10 p.m., officers responded to a shooting call at S/B North Central Expressway Service Road at Forest Lane. The adult victim, a 37-year-old Black male, was found lying on the road with a gunshot wound. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

The suspect, who has been identified as Isaias Perez, a 34-year-old Latin male, was involved in a road rage altercation. The suspect was interviewed by detectives with the Homicide Unit and will be charged with murder. A magistrate will set his bond
