On Monday, December 6, 2021, at approximately 10:04 p.m., Dallas Police Officers responded to a major accident call at Northbound North Central Expressway to the Westbound Woodall Rodgers ramp. Upon arrival, the officers located the victim, Carl Edmiston, a 54-year-old White male, with a gunshot wound inside his vehicle. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and transported the victim to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The victim’s 17-year-old son, who was in the vehicle with the victim, received a minor injury on his leg and was transported to an area hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.  The victim and the suspect were involved in a road rage incident prior to the shooting. The suspect continued Northbound N. Central Expressway in a dark-colored vehicle.
