On December 16, 2021, 22-year-old Tyrone Davis was arrested for the murder of the 14-year-old complainant.

On Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at approximately 3:25 a.m., Dallas police responded to a health and welfare call at 2000 S. Merrifield Road regarding a body on the side of the street. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and pronounced the unknown victim, a black female, dead at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds. The motive and circumstances surrounding this murder are under investigation. Since the victim did not have an identification card, the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s office will attempt to identify the victim through fingerprints analysis.
