On Thursday, December 23, 2021, at approximately 7:38 p.m., officers responded to a shooting call  Eastbound L.B.J. Freeway at the Haymarket exit ramp. The victim, Reginald Jeffery, a 20-year old Black male, was found inside of his vehicle with a gunshot wound. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and transported the victim to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. According to witnesses, a dark color SUV may have been involved in the shooting. The investigation is ongoing, and the motive appears to be road rage.
