Shooting at 5200 Botham Jean Blvd

The Homicide unit has recovered the pictured two-tone Crown Victoria related to the murder at Botham Jean Blvd. Dallas Police Homicide unit still looking for the other two vehicles shown on the Update of March 22, 2022.

 

BLOG UPDATE: March 25, 2022

On Saturday, March 19, 2022, at approximately 11:55 pm, Dallas Police Officers responded to, “The Space” club, located at 5214 Botham Jean Blvd where it was reported that ten individuals had been shot.  Complainant Anthony Wilson, an 18-year-old Black male suffered a gunshot wound and succumbed to his injuries while in a local hospital.  The motive and circumstances surrounding this incident are still under investigation.

Update: March 22, 2022

Detectives have received tips and reviewed video related to the shooting on Botham Jean Blvd.  Detectives would like to interview the occupants of the pictured vehicles, a gray Dodge Charger; a white over black Ford Crown Victoria, and an unknown black sedan.  Anyone with information regarding the owner or occupants of the pictured vehicles is encouraged to contact Detective Alec Lopez, #10715 at Alec.Lopez@dallascityhall.com or 214-671-3658.  Please refer to case #048526-2022.

Update: March 21, 2022

Dallas Police continue to investigate a shooting that occurred in 5200 block of Botham Jean Boulevard

On March 19, 2022, at approximately 11:50 p.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting in the 5200 block of Botham Jean Blvd. 

When officers arrived, they found multiple shooting victims, including an 18-year-old male who was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

The preliminary investigation determined a large crowd of approximately 1,000 people was both inside, and outside the venue for an event.

The victims injured in the shooting were outside of the venue, in line, and were not the intended targets in this shooting.

The motive of the shooting is still under investigation. Detectives removed more than 30 casings from the scene.

A total of ten victims were injured in the shooting, they range in age from 15-21. The 18-year-old is still in critical condition.

The investigation is continuing, with detectives following leads, interviewing witnesses, and canvassing businesses surrounding the shooting scene.

At this time, no suspect(s) have been identified.

On March 19, 2022, at approximately 11:50 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 5200 block of Botham Jean Blvd.  Upon their arrival, they discovered multiple shooting victims including an 18-year-old male who was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
