On Thursday, March 24, 2022, at approximately 12:39 pm, Dallas Police Officers were dispatched to the 4600 block of Ross Ave to a shooting call. Upon arrival, officers spoke to witnesses who stated that the Complainant, a 41-year-old Black male had been shot multiple times by the suspect who goes by the street name “KJ”. The suspect was seen fleeing from the scene wearing a light grey hoodie, and light pants. He was carrying a basketball and a black backpack. The suspect was last seen running eastbound on Ross from the offense location. Dallas Fire and Rescue had transported the complainant to a local hospital before officers arrived, where he succumbed to his injuries. This is an ongoing investigation.
