On Saturday, March 26, 2022, Dallas Police Officers were dispatched to 1228 Rock Island regarding a deceased male in the levee.  Upon arrival, officers could see down the embankment into the levee and saw the deceased person’s body lying face down, partially in the water.  Dallas Fire and Rescue arrived at the scene and confirmed the complainant was deceased. 

The male is an unknown Black male who appeared to be approximately in his 50’s.  He suffered a stab wound to his upper torso and appeared to have been beaten in the face.

This is an ongoing investigation.  The motives and circumstances surrounding this murder are still under investigation.
