Homicide of Three-Year-Old Boy

Update: April 13, 2022

Lacravivonne Washington is in custody after turning herself in at the Dallas County Jail. 

Update: April 12, 2022

On April 12, 2022, Dallas Police charged 26-year-old Lacravivonne Washington with Manslaughter in connection to the death of a three-year-old on March 28, 2022. 

Washington is out on bail for previous charges filed in this case. There is currently an active search for Washington and anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Dallas Police.

Update: April 6, 2022

On April 6, 2022, 27-year-old Jalexus Washington was arrested for Tampering with Evidence.  This charge stems from the concealment of a firearm in the death of a three-year-old on March 28, 2022.

Update: April 5, 2022 @ 1:45 p.m.

On April 4, 2022, Dallas Police charged 26-year-old Lacravivonne Washington with two additional Endangering a Child charges. The charges stem from a gun being accessible to a child, and a child unrestrained in a vehicle.

Update: March 31, 2022 @ 8:45 p.m.

On March 31, 2022, Dallas Police charged 26-year-old Lacravivonne Washington with Tampering with Physical Evidence.  An investigation determined Washington concealed a handgun during the investigation into the death of a three-year-old.  The weapon is owned by Washington. 

Washington is currently in the Dallas County Jail.

Woman charged in three-year-old death investigation

 

On March 30, 2022, Dallas Police arrested 26-year-old Lacravivonne Washington on outstanding warrants and transported her to Dallas Police Headquarters to be interviewed regarding the death of a three-year-old on March 28, 2022.  Washington declined to speak further to detectives and was transported to the Dallas County Jail for the outstanding warrants. Washington was also charged with Endangering a Child, due to the fact a weapon was accessible to a child. This charge will be documented on case #053933-2022.

 

Update: March 29, 2022 @ 2:05 p.m.

Dallas Police are asking for the public’s help in the investigation into the death of a three-year-old boy.

The preliminary investigation determined on March 28, the mother and child were seen at a donut shop located at 9410 Walnut Street, Dallas at approximately 9:38 am.

At 9:57 am, the child arrived at the emergency room, where he died of his injuries.

The investigation is ongoing and Dallas Police detectives are working to determine what happened during that time period between the donut shop and the hospital arrival.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance – If you have any information, or saw the mother’s vehicle during that time period – a 2011 dark blue Subaru Legacy with paper tags – please contact Dallas Police at 214-671-3675. Reference case number 053933-2022.

On Monday, March 28, 2022, at approximately 9:58 a.m., Dallas Police received a phone call from the staff at a local hospital regarding a three-year-old child that had been brought into the emergency room with a single gunshot wound to the face.  Upon arrival, officers learned from the complainant’s mother that it was possibly related to a road rage incident that occurred near Whitehurst and Arbor Park near a park.  The mother claimed to have been involved in a road rage incident with a dark-colored 4-door sedan being driven by a black male in a red shirt.  At this time, Dallas Police has not found a legitimate crime scene or evidence related to a road rage incident. This is an ongoing investigation.
