Arrest Made in Homicide at 4800 Sunnyvale Street

Dallas Police arrest woman in homicide stemming from an aggravated assault

On April 27, 2022, Dallas Homicide arrested 32-year-old Jasmine Malone and charged her with Murder.

On June 17, 2021, at approximately 11:30 pm, Dallas Police responded to a stabbing/cutting call in the 4800 block of Sunnyvale Street. When officers arrived they found 66-year-old Ronnie B. Clifton had been stabbed by an unknown female suspect. Clifton was taken to the hospital and treated for his injuries. The case was assigned to the Assaults Unit.

On December 4, 2021, at approximately 4:00 pm, Dallas Fire-Rescue was called to the area where Clifton was living and found him unresponsive. He was taken to the hospital where he died.

On March 10, 2022, the Homicide Unit was contacted by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office who determined Clifton’s cause of death was due to complications from the aggravated assault in June 2021. The investigation was re-assigned to the Homicide Unit. The homicide investigation determined that Malone was responsible for the murder. Malone was arrested and transported to the Dallas County Jail. A magistrate will set her bond.
