On Thursday, May 5, 2022, at approximately 11:38 a.m., Dallas Police officers were dispatched to a hospital in Irving. The staff at the hospital stated that the victim, Jorge Hernandez, a 17-year-old male, had been dropped off at their emergency room by several Latin males. The witness, a 19-year-old male, stayed at the ER with the victim. The victim was transported to a local hospital in Dallas, where he died.
It was determined that the victim was shot while sitting in the front passenger seat of the vehicle by one of two unknown named Latin males that were sitting in the back seat. The suspects left the location and this is an ongoing investigation. The motives and circumstances surrounding this incident are still under investigation. It is believed that the shooting occurred in the 10200 block of N. Walton Walker, in the City of Dallas.
