On May 15, 2022, Dallas Police responded to multiple armed robbery calls.
At 4:25 am, a Black male suspect entered the 7/11 in the 2200 block of South Beckley Avenue, confronted the clerk with a gun and demanded money. The suspect left in a beige sedan with a canvas top.
At 4:41 am, a Black male suspect with a gun confronted a victim in the QuikTrip parking lot in the 4700 block of S. RL Thornton Freeway SB. The suspect demanded belongings before the victim ran off. The suspect left in a beige sedan with a canvas top.
At 4:54 am, a Black male suspect entered a 7/11 located in the 2900 block of East Ledbetter Drive, confronted the clerk with a gun and demanded money. The suspect again left in a beige sedan with a canvas top.
At 5:25 am, a Black male suspect with a gun confronted two victims in the parking lot of a 7/11 in the 2200 block of South Zang Boulevard. The suspect demanded money and left in a beige sedan.
At approximately 6:00 am, Dallas Police officers located a gold Mercury Grand Marquis with a canvas top, consistent with the description of the vehicle used in multiple aggravated robberies and attempts.
Officers stopped the vehicle and located three suspects matching the description of individuals seen in surveillance video at the locations of the robberies.
During the preliminary investigation and search of the vehicle, police seized items taken in the robberies in the hours before.
Dallas Police arrested Vernon Hicks, 26, Varion Hicks, 26, and Eriesse Whitehead, 27. All three suspects were charged with four counts of Aggravated Robbery. Whitehead is also charged with one count of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
The suspects were taken to Dallas County Jail where their bond will be set by a magistrate.
