Dallas Police arrest two teens suspected in at least 10 aggravated robberies

On July 18, 2022, at about 1:00 pm, Dallas Police received a report of an aggravated robbery in the 13000 block of Montfort Drive.

The preliminary investigation determined the adult victim was robbed at gunpoint by two Latin males in an apartment parking lot.

The victim told police the suspects left in a silver Toyota sedan.

A short time later, Dallas Police located a silver Toyota Camry traveling east on Park Lane at Ridgecrest Road.

Northeast Patrol attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the vehicle refused to stop and evaded arrest.

The suspect vehicle later wrecked at Abrams Road and Royal Lane, where two suspects fled on foot.

With the help of two good Samaritans who stopped the passenger, patrol was able to take one suspect into custody. (video attached)

Air One responded and located the driver in an adjacent apartment complex, and Dallas Police took him into custody.

Giovanni Martinez-Castro, 17, was charged with Aggravated Robbery of an Individual, Evading Arrest in a Vehicle, and Failure to Leave ID at the Scene of an Accident.

Abraham Leone, 17, was charged with Aggravated Robbery of an Individual and Evading Arrest on Foot.

A search warrant was executed on the vehicle, and police seized two handguns, two black ski masks, and money.

After further investigation, Dallas Police believe Martinez-Castro and Leone are responsible for at least 10 aggravated robberies.

In June and July, suspects in a silver Toyota sedan demanded property at gunpoint from individuals across the North Dallas area.

The investigation is ongoing.
