Dallas Police arrest men on weapons charges, and one for his role in a series of robberies in Northeast Dallas.

 

On November 15, 2022, at approximately 2:20 pm, Dallas Police were called to a gas station in the 8000 block of Ferguson for a robbery in progress.  The preliminary investigation determined officers arrived and gathered information and video surveillance at the business.

Further investigation identified the suspect involved in the robbery on Ferguson. 

Officers located the robbery suspect, and other individuals at a nearby apartment complex and took them into custody.

 Dallas Police arrested:    

 Jerrell Mays, 18, charged with Aggravated Robbery.

Tayshaun Brown, 17, charged with Conspiracy (Dallas County warrant) and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.

Armoni Carraway, 23, charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Evading (Kaufman County warrant).

A 16-year-old male, charged with Unlawful Carry of a Weapon.

In addition to the arrests, police seized loaded handguns from the suspects.

It is believed Mays is responsible for multiple business robberies in Dallas, Garland and Mesquite.

Dallas Northeast Patrol, CRT, Project Safe Neighborhood Task Force and the Fugitive Unit all assisted in the investigation and arrests.
