Homicide on 8500 Lazy Acres Circle

On November 30, 2023, Dallas Police arrested 26-year-old Evin Geovanny Mata-Guzman and charged him with Capital Murder.

Dallas Police have identified the third victim as 31-year-old Cesar Aaron Birrueta-Soto.

Dallas Police have identified the suspect in the homicide on Lazy Acres Circle as 25-year-old Evin Geovanny Mata-Guzman. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call 911. Do not take police action. This suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.

Dallas Police have identified two victims as 29-year-old Queidin Flores and 22-year-old Stanley Chachagua. The second male victim is not being identified until family notifications are made.

Original Post:

On January 6, 2023, at about 4:30 AM, Dallas Police responded to a shooting in the 8500 block of Lazy Acres Circle. The preliminary investigation determined five people were shot while they were gathered in a back parking lot.  Three of the victims, two men and one woman, died at the scene. The two other victims, both adult males, were taken to a local hospital with one in critical and the other in stable condition. This remains an ongoing investigation. At this time, this does not appear to be a random shooting. The incident will be documented under case number 003132-2023.
