DPD needs help in identifying suspects in shooting on Commerce Street

Update: March 16, 2023 

Dallas Police have arrested two men in connection with the February 12, 2023 shooting in the 2600 block of Commerce Street.

On March 15, 2023, Dallas Police arrested Korbin Smith, 23, and charged him with Aggravated Assault and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Felon.

On February 24, 2023, Dallas Police arrested Donnel Davis, 35, and charged him with two counts of Deadly Conduct and Aggravated Assault.

Dallas Police is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects involved in a shooting on Commerce Street.

On February 12, 2023, at about 10:55 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 2600 block of Commerce Street.  The preliminary investigation determined the suspects, a Latin male, and a Black male, argued, then shot at each other outside the business. A bullet went through the business window, and a bystander was shot. The injured man was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.  

This remains an ongoing investigation.
