Update: May 31, 2023

On May 30, 2023, Jorge Cortez, 27, was arrested by U.S. Customs and Border Protection on an active warrant for Murder in Laredo, Texas. He will await extradition.

Original Post: On Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at around 1:50 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 9200 block of Beckleycrest Avenue. When officers arrived, they found 51-year-old Ray Salinas shot inside his home.  Dallas Fire and Rescue responded, and Salinas died at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing at this time and will be documented under case number 026575-2023.
