On July 20, 2023,  Charlton Porter, 27, was charged with Murder for the May 13, 2023 homicide in the 2100 block of N. Masters. Porter was arrested in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Dallas Police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead and three others injured.

On May 13, 2023, at about 4:05 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 2100 block of N. Masters Drive.  The preliminary investigation determined four people were shot at the location and taken to local hospitals.  Ana Moreno, 39, a bystander, died from her injury while the other three male victims remain in critical condition.

Further investigation determined two vehicles were shooting at one another while driving eastbound Bruton Road.  As a result, a bullet entered Moreno’s vehicle and hit her causing her death. 

There are no suspects in custody.

The investigation is ongoing and documented on case number 088413-2023.
