The Dallas Police Department is asking for the public’s help to identify the suspect and vehicle involved in the kidnapping of a seven-year-old child

Update:  The Dallas Police Department is releasing additional photos of the suspect vehicle.

Suspect is described as a light skinned black man, short hair with multiple bald patches over his head.

On June 11, 2023, at approximately 12:00PM, seven-year-old child and a nine-year-old child left an apartment in the 1500 block of Argentia Drive.

As they were walking, the two children were approached by a black male, approximately 30 years old, short dark hair, in a gray crossover type vehicle with spots of color missing. The man offered a ride to the children, who get into the car.

The suspect drives them to a nearby store in the area of West Kiest Boulevard at South Polk Street.

At around 12:15 pm, the nine-year old went to the door of a store, and when they turned around to come back to the car, the suspect left the location with the seven-year-old.

At 12:33pm, Dallas Police received an initial 911 after the nine-year-old is found by a witness in the parking lot.

Officers respond to the scene and an investigation begins.

Based on information provided, officers work is done to identify the children and personal information, along with attempting to identify the suspect driver.

Officers begin to also canvas both the abduction site along with the pickup location.

Youth Operation Detectives respond to the scene.

An Amber Alert is issued 6:45 pm.

At around 12:40 am, on June 12, 2023, a child is seen walking up a sidewalk in the apartment complex in the 1500 block of Argentia. The child was taken to a local hospital.

No vehicle was seen dropping the child off near the scene.

The investigation continues and we are asking for the public’s help to identify the suspect, and vehicle used in the kidnapping.
