The Dallas Police Department continues to investigate the 1998 murder of 29-year-old Hermenegildo Martinez. 

On December 6, 1998, Mr. Martinez was shot and killed in the 4900 block of East Side Drive. The suspects, three black men, approached a group, including Mr. Martinez, in a parking lot and demanded money. One of the suspects took money from one of the victims. Before they left, a suspect shot and killed Mr. Martinez.
