On July 8, 2023, at about 11:00 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 1600 block of Pompano Beach Drive.  The preliminary investigation determined an 18-year-old male and three 16-year old victims were shot during a party at the location. One of the 16-year-old victims died at the scene.The other victims were taken to a local hospital.

The investigation is ongoing and documented on case number 124029-2023.
