The victim found in the 800 block of Brazos is 31-year-old DeBrenese Henry.

Update: July 19, 2023

On July 19, 2023, Dallas Police arrested Oscar Sanchez Garcia, 25, in connection to this homicide.

The preliminary investigation identified Sanchez Garcia as the suspect through evidence gathered by detectives. He will be charged with  Murder.

Original Post: 

On July 15, 2023, at approximately 9:10 p.m., Dallas Police were dispatched to a field in the 800 block of Brazos Street after a 911 call for a report of human remains. The preliminary investigation determined when officers arrived they found the body of a woman. 

On July 17, 2023, an autopsy was done by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office and the cause of death was ruled a homicide.

The identity of the woman is unknown.
