On July 23, 2023, at about 3:45 am, Dallas police responded to a shooting call in the 3300 block of Sheila Lane. The preliminary investigation determined an unknown suspect in a vehicle shot at the victims and left the location. Four victims were transported to a local hospital. One victim died from his injuries, a second is in critical condition, and two others are in stable condition.

This remains an ongoing investigation that will be documented under case number 132697-2023.

The victim who was killed is not being identified at this time pending next of kin notification.
