On August 6, 2023, at about 7:30 p.m., Dallas Police located the vehicle belonging to Mr. Shiulun Yan in the 2800 block of Pierce Street.  The preliminary investigation determined officers found a man, dead, in a wooded area near where the vehicle was found.

The man was positively identified as Yan by the medical examiner’s office on August 8, 2023.

Mr. Yan was reported missing on August 6, 2023, on case number 141556-2023.

This is being investigated as an unexplained death.

The Dallas Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating Mr. Shiulun Yan.

Mr. Yan is described a 76-year-old, grey-haired, brown-eyed, Asian male who stands at about 5’09” tall and weighs about 160lbs. 

Mr. Yan was last seen on August 5, 2023, driving a Grey 2018 Ford Escape bearing Texas license plate NTX3998, in the 2000 block of McBroom Street.  He was seen wearing a pair of beige pants and a green shirt.  Mr. Yan may be in need of assistance.
