On August 6, 2023, the US Marshals Task Force arrested David Santos Flores, 37.

He was taken to Dallas County Jail and charged with Murder.

On  August 5, 2023, at about 11:35 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 2000 block of Vine Lane.  The preliminary investigation determined Hector Barrios Verdugo, 36, was shot during a disturbance at the location.  Verdugo was taken to a local hospital where he died from his injury.

The investigation is ongoing and documented on case number 141355-2023.
