Update:

Three men arrested in aggravated robbery of a vehicle in 2400 block of Northwest Highway.

On August 9, 2023, three men were arrested in the carjacking of a Dallas Police Crime Response Team Officer in the 2400 block of Northwest Highway. 

Nineteen-year-old Redricous Lewis, 17-year-old Redtravion Polk and 18-year-old Xavier Cook are charged with aggravated robbery. 

Polk and Cook also face state charges in Louisiana.

All three men were arrested in Shreveport, Louisiana. 

The investigation into the stolen vehicle, and the shooting of the Dallas Police Officer during the robbery is ongoing. Additional charges are possible.

Update: The officer has been discharged from the hospital.

Original Post: On August 9, 2023, at approximately 12:45 am, a Northwest Crime Response Team officer contacted 911 that he had been shot and his covert vehicle had been stolen in the 2400 block of Northwest Highway. The officer was transported by a patrol vehicle to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspects are not in custody. The stolen vehicle has been recovered. The investigation is ongoing and documented under case number 143234-2023.
