The Dallas Police Department continues to investigate the 2020 murder of 28-year-old Jose Montes.

On September 14, 2020, Mr. Montes was killed in the 1500 block of Cockrell Hill Road as he was servicing an ATM at a local credit union. Mr. Montes died from his injuries.
